The Three-Step Way to Exercise

Do you think gratitude is a trait you are born with?

That some people are naturally grateful and saying “Thank You” automatically rolls off their lips and they never take anyone or anything for granted?

And, if you don’t have ‘the gratitude gene’, then you’re allowed to take people and kindness for granted.

Not so fast!

What if being grateful and thankful are responses you can learn? I love that Larissa Gomez described gratitude and thankfulness as “strength training for the heart”.

Want to experience more gratitude?

Here are three simple things you can do NOWall in less than a minute.

PAUSE: take 2 - 3 deep breaths.

NOTICE: look around you, what do you see? Or think back on the last hour, who has shown you an act of kindness? Where have you experience goodness or beauty.

EXPRESS: say thanks! Whether you speak it out loud, send a text, or write a note — you can express your gratitude.

Congratulations! You did all of that in less than a minute.

Set an alarm and do it again in an hour or two.

Then do it again.

Rinse and repeat.

You’re making progress.

Keep going.
